PHOTOGRAPHY · PLACE
Puerto Rico, Overnight
Twenty-four photographs made during a brief visit: civic surfaces, roads, thresholds, heat, weather, density, distance, and the partial knowledge produced by moving through a place too quickly.
Puerto Rico · July 16–17, 2026 · Complete sequence, 01–24
SERIES NOTE
First contact is not knowledge.
This sequence is not a comprehensive portrait of Puerto Rico and does not claim the authority of long residence. It records a short encounter and its limits: what became visible through movement, interruption, heat, architecture, vegetation, roadside distance, and the pressure of leaving. The order follows the photographs as they were made. The horizontal seventh frame interrupts the vertical rhythm at the point the encounter widens.
